Women’s Transition to Entrepreneurs from Professional and Managerial Careers in Organizations

Careers have different dimensions, they can be developed in an organization and individual way. Organizations no longer a role creating careers, but individuals develop careers using the as tool or medium. Changes external internal environment are basic conditions why career dares to change. The research aimed explore senior female managers' phenomenon that left professional managerial organizations entrepreneurs. Structured in-depth interviews were conducted with 25 entrepreneurs who had manager positions at companies. Qualitative approaches carried out what motivated make transition how process was done. Then, Critical Incident Technique used analyze data get responses regarding entrepreneurs' perceptions of transitions. From results, there four main categories: personal, organizational life, value integrity, capital. also nine subcategories: independence individualism, strong encouragement family support, personal life balance, values, partner ties, mentor human category causes more women transition, followed by capital, categories.
